Embracing the Becoming – Manifesting from Alignment, Not Lack
Hi there Lovely Souls,
Have you ever wanted something so badly and thought, If I just think about it hard enough…if I want it badly enough, maybe I can make it happen?
That was my initial understanding of manifesting—one of those buzzwords we hear so often. I thought it was about focusing on something with enough intensity, desire, or hope that I could bring it into reality.
Turns out, that’s not quite how it works!
Manifesting isn’t just about thinking something into existence. It’s about being someone who can hold what they’ve called in.
This is where many of us get stuck. We’re told to visualize what we want, make the vision board, and stay focused on the outcome. But sometimes, when we picture what we desire, we’re actually doing it from a place of fear or scarcity. We focus on what’s missing. We compare. We worry it won’t happen for us. We wonder why other people have it and we don’t. And instead of feeling inspired or empowered, we feel stuck… as though it’s already out of reach.
Another place we can get caught? Trying to control the ‘how.’ Manifestation isn’t about forcing an outcome—it’s about alignment. It’s about choosing goals that reflect our core values, not just your ego’s desires. It’s about moving from a grounded place of this is who I am and what I believe in—not this is what I need, to prove something or feel worthy.
So how do we know if we're aligned with what we're calling in? Well, here’s where it helps to shift our perspective from “What do I want to get?” to “What am I being called to return to within myself?” Because manifestation isn’t just about the outcome—it’s about your capacity to receive and sustain it.
Think of it like climbing a mountain. The view from the base might be clear—we know what we’re reaching for. But getting to the summit isn’t just about knowing the goal; it’s about being someone who’s ready for the altitude. The air gets thinner up there. The conditions change. And if we don’t build the capacity to breathe differently, to move differently, we might turn back even after getting close.
Manifesting works like that too. It’s not just about calling something in—it’s about being able to hold it. To build the inner foundation and be the version of you who is capable of sustaining it.
Because the truth is, sometimes it’s not that we don’t believe something is possible—it’s that we don’t yet believe it’s possible for us. And sometimes, we don’t just fear not getting what we want—we fear what might happen if we do.
We fear what it might mean if we get what we want.
We fear being seen.
We fear losing it.
We fear not being enough to keep it.
Old stories of not being worthy.
That’s why alignment matters so much. When our desires reflect our core values, they’re grounded. They’re not about proving anything, or chasing an outcome. They’re about becoming more of who we already are.
So, if you're setting a goal or intention right now, here are a few questions to help you reflect:
Does this goal reflect who I truly am—or who I think I need to be?
What value does this align with—and why is that value important to me?
Am I trying to prove something or avoid something?
How do I want to feel—not just when I get there, but as I take steps toward it?
What would need to shift in how I see myself in order to hold this?
If I already believed I was enough, how would I approach this differently?
What parts of me feel resistant—and what might those parts need to feel safe?
Manifesting isn’t just about naming what we want. It’s about being the version of ourself who can meet it, hold it, and stay rooted as it unfolds. And sometimes, that process takes time. Sometimes, life stretches us first. It might offer us opportunities to build skills, release old beliefs and patterns, or moments of stillness to deepen trust. Not because we’re being tested—but because we’re being readied.
The detours, the pauses, the unexpected challenges—they might not be the path you pictured, but they might be the path that’s building you up for what’s next.
That’s why it’s so important to release the need to control the how, to trust the unfolding, to anchor into your whys, and let them guide you.
Because the version of you who’s ready for it? They aren't someone else you need to become.
They’ve been within you all along.
You're not just manifesting a future—you're remembering who you are.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Christina
